great love story
11 January 2013
This is a great love story with the boy meets girl, or shall we say boy meets woman, theme. In the vein of the blockbuster hit "How Stella Got Her Groove Back", starring Angela Bassett, "In Conflict With Kismet" explores the nuances of a reltionsnhip between a young 20 year old college male, and a 40 year old professional woman. They meet ina local grocery store while debating how and if to share the last jar of imported olives. This young guy is so intriguing and mysterious to this woman. How can a 20 yr old have a tatse for such fine olives imported from Italy, and why is he hitting on her? This story starts innocently in the grocery store, and takes us on several turns throughout. By the end of the film, you are empathizing with both characters.

good movie
11 January 2013
This was a great film that examines the inner city life and its effects on youth. I liked how this film explored the differences in rural and urban lives. Richard Roundtree was great and it was good to see him return to the big screen and he definitely brought a little bit of "Shaft" mojo. John Schneider makes a good turn as well. The cast is rounded out by some young up and coming actors who are all great. The young urban kids are actually the most interesting part of the film. At some times the film does move a little slow while on the ranches going through every day mundane ranch life. Then trouble shows up when gang leader Caz arrives looking for what was stolen from him. Christian themed with a great soundtrack as well.
