Best of the series (so far)
3 April 2019 | by KilgoreHooverSee all my reviews

Not your typical shoot 'em up cowboys-in-space cartoon. This episode has an actual storyline and some depth. The animation is good, but not great. No matter how many shades of color they manage to squeeze into tinier and tinier spaces, and no matter how many different textures they render, computer animators just have not been able to get the eyes right. It's always the eyes. But I digress.

The characters in "Lucky 13" are much more lifelike, more human, than any other of the episodes I've seen so far. That contributed to the drama of the story, which made it much more engaging. And it really was all about love, death, and robots.
