Did You Know?

The cabinet Nick is locked into requires a key to lock or unlock it, and it can only be locked or unlocked from the outside.. Since it was unlocked when he got into it, it would have remained unlocked while he was inside. In the worst case, the doors were shown to be so flimsy that he could have easily pushed them open. As such, the entire subplot of Nick turning up missing would not have taken place. See more »

Same stuff

I think that The Good Witch is reaching the point where it is an acquired taste. This episode doesn't stray far from the Good Witch formula.

Their formula seems to be that some perceived disaster threatens the entire town centering around the Meriwicks. Martha always exaggerates it. Cassie is always contemplative, sometimes showing more concern, sometimes less. Grace or Cassie often provide some of the solution.

Except for Bailee Madison, and possibly Catherine Bell, the actors seemed to be stuck in narrow stereotypical roles. Martha overreacts, badly. Sam is hard to ruffle. Abigail is mischievous. Cassie usually has some breadth of character, although she leans toward mysterious yet calm. Grace seems the most normal, although she can be characterized as always eager to please.

I have seen Madison in child or youth roles from a young age, often in Hallmark movies. I look forward to seeing her continue to excel as hopefully she starts to get some of the romantic lead roles in Hallmark's future endeavors.
