When a Naval Captain is killed in what appears to be a hit and run, the team goes to investigate. While there Palmer sees something and leaves. When they process the crime scene, they're about to leave when they see someone on the ledge of a building/ They go there and find Palmer there and he's on the ledge with the person. They learn he's the son of the Captain, he blames himself for what happened to his father. It seems like they were in the car and having a heated discussion. His father would pull over to go to an ATM to get cash, when a car ran into him. He refuses to enter and threatens to take Palmer with him. So Gibbs and the others try to find out what happened to his father. Was it an accident or did someone set out to kill his father? Palmer tries to keep him from jumping by talking to him and telling him about his life with NCIS.
