Pop Culture Thoughts
1 December 2018 | by popculturethoughtsSee all my reviews

One of the best episodes of the Netflix reboot, "The Loves of Hercules" is one of the cheesiest movies the gang has covered so far, a 1960 Jayne Mansfield historical fantasy that seems to exist in a fever dream. Mansfield is a consistently strange screen presence, while real-life husband Mickey Hargitay just seems out of place onscreen thanks to a combination of limited talent and a noticeable lack of screen presence. It all makes for an amusing, charming and memorable episode.
