  • When the Santa Ana winds blow into town, they cause everyone in West Covina to act a little strangely and question their relationships and priorities. Rebecca and Nathaniel get to know each other better while Paula and Darryl confront an ongoing dilemma in their friendship.

  • The fierce Santa Ana winds are blowing into West Covina, the winds which some area residents call the devil winds because of their superstitious belief that the winds have devilish effects. Outwardly, Rebecca is basking in the glow of her engagement to Josh, that is until she realizes that her romantic encounters with him no longer result in her getting goosebumps. On the evening of the first winds, it seems as if most people in the office have a weird dream while in their sleep, those dreams the result of the devilish winds. Paula's dream leads to her fostering her lopsided friendship with Darryl, they both aware of that lopsidedness where he considers her his best platonic friend, while she doesn't consider him anywhere close to that. What happens as a result could irreparably affect their relationship in its entirety. Unknown to each other, Rebecca and Nathaniel both have the same dream - that they are having passionate sex with each other - which results in the goosebumps that are now missing for Rebecca with Josh. Besides Paula, Rebecca doesn't confide her thoughts about Nathaniel to anyone. Beyond Rebecca hoping that those feelings blow away with the winds, Rebecca and Nathaniel individually have to decide how to address those feelings. What happens is directly affected by someone else in the office, that person who just wants a little recognition.
