Mad City
21 September 2016 | by ArjunTheReviewerSee all my reviews

This is my first review so please do bare with me, haha. Gotham is a show that in my opinion has seen loads of improvement. Season 1 was average, but Season 2 really stepped up its game. So I came into the season premiere with much hype. I was a little disappointed by this premiere, but it wasn't terrible. The premiere starts off great with Gordon finding Thompkins and then realizing she has a boyfriend (poor Gordon, he can never get a break). We then see Gordon as a bounty hunter who hunts down the strange creatures that Dr Strange created. I like this change because it adds variety to Gordon. However, the premiere goes downhill after that. I really want Fish Mooney to go away. She is one of the things that ruined Season 1. Also, the whole strange creatures thing feels kinda weird, and out of place at some moments, and I am not interested in the doppelganger Bruce who has Winter Soldier hair, like really! Also, the episode is really slow paced. However,it's not all bad. I really like the new Court of Owls arc, and it seems really interesting, especially the ending of the episode. Barbara and Tabitha are growing to be great characters, especially in that one scene where Barbara is menaces by some goons. Barbara became like super crazy. I like the way her character has grown. I also really like Valorie Vale, and she seems like an interesting addition as a reporter, and I believe aunt of Vicky Vale. I also like the new story arc with Penguin wanting to get rid of Fish. He better get rid of her soon. I really want them to bring back Jerome because I do not want to see Fish Mooney steal the spotlight. Overall, the season premiere was decent. Grade: 7/10
