Trivia

Unlike the quotes that appear at the start of most episodes, the quote that opens this one, "History is the nightmare from which I am trying to awake," is not from a folk story or Grimm fairy tale. It's an only slightly altered version of one of the most famous quotations from James Joyce's _Ulysses_, episode two, which runs: "History, Stephen said, is a nightmare from which I am trying to awake." The speaker, Stephen Dedalus, is generally regarded as a stand-in for young Joyce, and is also the protagonist of his earlier novel, _A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man_. See more »

Goofs

When showing the Grimm book to Monroe, Felix explains that the books are so delicate that you have to wear gloves when touching the books. When Monroe shows the books to the HW, he is not wearing gloves when touching the pages of the book. See more »

A Different Taste of Grimm
14 January 2019 | by ManjeetGSee all my reviews

A very significant episode. I loved the history and academia in it, and that what was once lost in an emotional episode in Season 4 is given a 'new beginning'. I have to say, I love the camaraderie of the cast, the quotes at the start, and the clever titles for each episode. Grimm never fails to surprise and delight.
