A local Sheriff decides to right the wrongs in the small town prior to his demise, unbeknownst to him, the Deputy, his son is hot on his heels in pursuit and alerts the Attorney General, who happens to turn a blind eye to the Sheriff.
"Like Son" is a well-written indy film directed by the renowned actor, director and musician, John Schneider. He also contributes further into this film with his unpretentious albeit superb acting. Notable actors are also Laura Cayouette, Joe Chrest, Ann Dalrymple and, especially, Don Shanks, all of whom provide sterling and intriguing performances. TBH, I didn't expect Don Shanks to be so cool in this film as I knew him mainly as a stuntman; glad to be pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere of this indy film is dark and the topic dealt with is controversial as it delves into sexual crime and murder against an under-aged individual in tandem with the issue of vigilantism. That said, I would definitely recommend this film as it constitutes a worthy watch.
