Goofs

It is 1922. In the beginning of the episode we see the beaten up Tom Shelby lying in a HALO vest. This is a device to stabilize the neck, usually for fractures, and the first use of it was not described until 1959. A few scenes later he is sitting on the bedside without the HALO vest but with a fresh scalp wound. Although not specifically stated it would be reasonable to assume that the skull operation took place on the same day as the admission to hospital and that the HALO vest was applied directly thereafter. A HALO vest is usually worn from 6 weeks to three months and certainly never for just a few days. See more »

First of all I love this show

They went completely off the tracks with this episode. I haven't timed it, but I'd be willing to bet half of the episode was just people fking. It's like they woke up with a bad hangover and few ideas. The scant story line wasn't enough to hold it's own so they thought it would be a good idea to throw in a bunch of gratuitous sex, which didn't contribute anything to the plot or story.
