‘Peaky Blinders’ Season 5 Gets U.S. Premiere Date at Netflix
Netflix has revealed the release date for the fifth season of “Peaky Blinders,” announcing that the Shelby family’s crime saga will launch Oct. 4 on the streaming service. This is after the BBC One drama first airs across the pond, of course.

Amazon Boards ’12 Years A Slave’ Director Steve McQueen’s Forthcoming BBC West Indian Drama
Amazon has boarded 12 Years A Slave director Steve McQueen’s forthcoming BBC drama.

The revelation emerged as Georgia Brown, Director of European Originals at the Svod service, was speaking at the House of Lords’ Communications Committee debate on the future of public service broadcasting in the UK.

It’s not clear which territories the Svod service has the rights for to the six-part series but former Fremantle exec Brown revealed that Amazon was co-producing the project, which has been long in the works, with the official commission coming from the BBC in August 2015. She added that it was “coming imminently”.

The show, which is being produced by The Frankenstein Chronicles producer Rainmark Films, is a look at the lives of a group of friends and their families living in West London from 1968 to 2014. The Oscar-winning writer and director has said that the series will tell the story of a West

High Life Trailer: Robert Pattinson Is a Single Dad in Space

High Life Trailer: Robert Pattinson Is a Single Dad in Space
A24 has unveiled the first trailer for High Life. Robert Pattinson may have started out his career as the dude from Twilight, but he's since gone on to become a truly terrific actor in his own right who is constantly making interesting choices that seem to be motivated creatively, as opposed to for financial gain. In this case, he's taking part in a sci-fi/thriller that sees him raising a daughter all alone in space in a less than ideal and very tense situation.

We start off with some footage of Robert Pattinson raising his baby daughter in what looks like a rather normal day to day fatherly scenario, save for the fact that he's doing so in space. It's mostly atmospheric, with strange and alluring shots of unwitting astronauts aboard this vessel, seemingly at odds with one another. As things progress, the tension rises and something is clearly not as it should be.

First Trailer For BBC's Adaptation of Agatha Christie's The ABC Murders with John Malkovich

BBC has released the first trailer for their upcoming adaptation of Agatha Christie's The ABC Murders. The three-part limited series stars John Malkovich in the role of Hercule Poirot and Rupert Grint (Harry Potter) as Inspector Crome.

The series looks really good. Malkovich adds his own interesting flavor to the character Hercule Poirot, and I like it.

The story is set in the 1930's, which is "a time when the nation is dangerously divided, with suspicion and hatred on the rise. In the midst of this tension, Poirot faces a serial killer known only as ‘A.B.C.’ First the killer strikes in Andover, then Bexhill. As the murder count rises, the only clue is the copy of the ABC Railway Guide at each crime scene. Poirot’s investigations are thwarted at every turn by an enemy determined to outsmart him. If the detective is to match his nemesis, then everything

‘The ABC Murders’ Trailer: Mustachioed John Malkovich Is the New Hercule Poirot

‘The ABC Murders’ Trailer: Mustachioed John Malkovich Is the New Hercule Poirot
When a dead body shows up in a murder mystery, there are few characters you’d want on the case more than Hercule Poirot. And when Hercule Poirot shows up in a script, there are few actors you’d want on the call sheet more than John Malkovich.

Enter “The ABC Murders,” the latest Agatha Christie adaptation heading to Amazon Prime. Based on the legendary crime author’s 1936 novel, Malkovich’s Poirot stumbles into a series of grisly murders. As each new victim falls dead, their first and last name start with the next letter of the alphabet.

The three-part series is directed by Alex Gabassi, who previously spent time behind the camera on “The Frankenstein Chronicles.” Apart from Malkovich, the rest of “The ABC Murders” ensemble includes Rupert Grint, Shirley Henderson, Andrew Buchan, Anya Chalotra, Eamon Farren, Jack Farthing, Tara Fitzgerald, Bronwyn James, Freya Mavor, and Michael Shaeffer.

First Look at John Malkovich as Hercule Poirot in BBC's Adaptation of Agatha Christie's The ABC Murders

Here's our first look at John Malkovich in the role of Hercule Poirot in BBC's upcoming adaptation of Agatha Christie's The ABC Murders. As you can see, he's dialed back on the look of the character and isn't going for the over-exaggerated version that we've seen in recent depictions like Kenneth Branagh in Murder on the Orient Express.

The story is set in the 1930's which is "a time when the nation is dangerously divided, with suspicion and hatred on the rise. In the midst of this tension, Poirot faces a serial killer known only as "A.B.C." First the killer strikes in Andover, then Bexhill. John Malkovich Set To Play Hercule Poirot in BBC's Adaptation of Agatha Christie's The ABC Murders

Kenneth Branagh made a big splash with his 2017 film adaptation of Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express. He wonderfully played detective Hercule Poirot in the film and will reprise the role in his adaptation of Death on the Nile.

Well, the BBC is now developing their own new Agatha Christie project, which will be an adaptation of the 1936 novel The ABC Murders. The series will be told in three parts and they've cast John Malkovich to take on the role of Hercule, and I have no doubt he's going to be awesome! I actually like that casting a bit more than Branagh. It's also been announced that Harry Potter's Rupert Grint has signed onto the film as well. He will play Inspector Crome. Here's the story description from the book:

There’s a serial killer on the loose, working his way through the alphabet and the whole
