A World Away: Utahns in Bosnia, an Emmy award-winning documentary, tells the story of the men and women in Utah's Army Reserve 358th Public Affairs Unit as they train in Hoehenfels, Germany and start their mission in war torn Bosnia. To tell this story Emmy award-winning TV correspondent Karen Schaler and photographer John Waikart were the first journalists in the world embedded with troops in Bosnia and spent a month with Utah's 358th telling the story of the unit's journey.
