  • The film is loosely based on "The Infinity Gauntlet" storyline in the comic. But for the most part, is an original story made for the film. The story in the comic had Thanos wipe out life to please the personification of Death, but failed to do so. Thanos in the movie seeks to wipe out life because he thinks by doing so he can save the universe from overcrowding. Endgame is the final confrontation with him when he seeks revenge for the Avengers trying to undo his work. Edit (Coming Soon)

  • Not really. In order to understand this movie you just need to see a few Marvel films, specifically: Iron Man; The Avengers; Thor: The Dark World; Guardians of the Galaxy; Captain America: The Winter Soldier; Avengers: Age of Ultron; Captain America: Civil War; Doctor Strange; Thor: Ragnarok; Ant-Man and the Wasp; and of course, Avengers: Infinity War.

However, you will get more out of it if you watch all of them (In release order: Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger, The Avengers; Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Ant-Man; Doctor Strange, Captain America: Civil War, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and Captain Marvel) Edit (Coming Soon)

  • Could be he was referring to the Tesseract as it has played a key role in the movies going back to Captain America The First Avenger movie. Or highly radioactive material.

Then again, considering how much "mad science" was going on in that place, it could have just been a generic bluff since Rogers didn't give too many details. Edit (Coming Soon)
