She discovers what she needs to make the fairytales she bases her love life on true in this romance story. Throughout the movie, she also tries to help her younger sister work through her recent engagement and prepare for the wedding.
Emma love for fairy tales inspires her to start a book store. With declining business, Eric , a business consultant is appointed to turn things around. Emma meets her Mr. Perfect, Landon, at her store. Emma is overwhelmed by Landon's romantic dinners and gifts. Emma's sister Jane, is getting marries to Greg. Problems creep into Jane's life before her marriage. Emma reflects on her love life and finds Mr. Perfect is that person who is there by you when it matters, and not the one who sends in flowers.
Emma, the owner of an enchanting little bookstore, has been dreaming about finding her real life Prince Charming since she was a child. Now, her younger sister, Jane, is getting married, but Jane's low key idea of a wedding is not what the romantic Emma had in mind for her little sister. To make matters worse, Frank, the bookstore's investor, has assigned his headstrong son, Eric to shadow Emma. As Emma and Eric butt heads over how the store should be run, Emma meets Landon, who seems to be her ideal Prince Charming. Not amused by Landon's mushy gestures, Eric bets Emma that she will lose interest in Landon after one month. Emma accepts his challenge, but soon starts to see that he may have a point about Landon and that under his gruff exterior there is more to Eric than she thought. When Emma faces a crisis at work, it's Eric who comes through for her. As she begins to rethink her ideas of romance, she discovers that she just may have been waiting for the wrong Prince Charming.
When Greg Thompson proposes to Jane Graham, she asks her bossy elder sister Emma as bridesmaid and wedding planner. When tycoon Frank Donovan considers investing in Emma's cozy old-fashioned bookshop, he sends his shy son, business consultant Eric, to assess it and suggest commercial improvements, but he falls in love with her, yet dares not openly rival with slick admirer Landon Crest, a master in romancing, but as she realizes only when engaged with him, ultimately self-absorbed.
