In a city of humanoid animals, a hustling theater impresario's attempt to save his theater with a singing competition becomes grander than he anticipates even as its finalists find that their lives will never be the same.
In a world of anthropomorphic animals, koala Buster Moon owns a theater, having been interested in show business since his father took him to his first music show as a child. Following financial problems brought up by the bank representative Judith, he tells his wealthy friend Eddie that he will host a singing competition with a prize of $1,000. But Buster's assistant, Miss Crawly, accidentally appends two extra zeroes, and the promotional fliers showing $100,000 are blown out of Buster's office into the city streets.
Many of the background animals reappear several times throughout the movie. The polar bear in the red Hawaiian shirt can be seen again in the club when Mike (Seth MacFarlane) is making his escape from the bears, and the tuxedo-wearing chicken can be spotted near the end with the animals watching the concert on television in a shop window. In the Illumination Entertainment logo, 4 Minions - Kevin, Mel, Stuart, and Bob - are singing the word "Illumination". The last one, Bob, sings the 'tion' part so long and loud, the 'MIN' and 'ION' parts short out. After realizing what he has done, he says "Oops" See more »
I got a chance to view "Sing" at a early Pre-Screening and it was an absolute blast. Starring the film was an all star cast, too many to name and they all did a spectacular job singing and acting, the main star that gave me goosebumps singing was Tori Kelly, she can sing the house down. The movie was a feel good movie and it had things for both Kids and the Adults to enjoy. Me and the audience laughed throughout and enjoyed the film, we even clapped when the end credits rolled. This by far to me beats "Secret Life of Pets", I thought "Secret Life of Pets" was an okay film but I was so disappointed. I Highly recommend everyone to see "Sing" when it releases in theaters December 21st.
