Storyline

Homer shows pirate copies of downloaded movies to his friends but after Marge has accidentally informed on him he is arrested by the FBI and the family is forced to take refuge in the Swedish consulate, from where Homer is eventually taken to court. However, his impassioned speech on the rights of the ordinary man against the might of big business earns him an acquittal as well as a movie based on his own experiences - though he refuses to screen a pirate copy of it. Goofs

(Possibly intentional by the makers of the show) The FBI try to get the Simpsons out of the Swedish Consulate by "blasting Death Metal", at which point Judas Priest show up, playing "Breaking the Law". The Swedish ambassador starts to headbang and says the Swedes love Death Metal. That statement is correct, seeing as Gothenburg Metal a.k.a. Swedish Melodic Death Metal was the start of Melodic Death Metal. Judas Priest, however, are not Death Metal, they belong to the New Wave of British Heavy Metal genre. See more »

Great Episode with Several Really Well Written Celebrity Cameos,
20 May 2014 | by lesleyharris30See all my reviews

Steal This Episode is a brilliant Simpsons episode with a very well written storyline fooled with loads of really funny scenes. The episode also has several hilarious cameos by some great actors towards the end including Paul Rudd,Leslie Mann,Channing Tatum and Judd Apotow, but my favourite wax Will Arnett, who did a great job voicing an FBI agent,I was disappointed by Seth Rogen, who I was looking forward to seeing in this the most, because he had only one line.but that one line was very funny.I loved all the jokes this movie makes about today's movie industry and the movie parodies as well. The episode is written by J.Stewart Burns, who I wish wrote more Simpsons episodes,he normally only write zone very season, but their usually the highlight of the whole season,I really wish he wrote more episodes each season.Steal This Episode is a great Simpsons episode.

Homer lands in hot water with a host of Hollywood stars after he introduces Springfield to movie piracy.
