Adam, after Ethan kills his relationship with Diana by telling her his son's destiny is with Cassie, dismisses his father as a hopeless drunk, wrecking his life after wrecking his own following his wife's death. The kids' circle prepares a 'regular' (i.e. magic free) Halloween party with a few ordinary dates and other guests. Jake is invited and, despite senior witch hunter Isaac's doubts, prepares a plan to eliminate all five witches using a blood spell. Cassie gets onto the fact of witch hunter machinations and tracks down a magically marked ritual knife in Jake's possession. Jake (who has managed to remain undiscovered by strong-arming a minor witch shop keeper into silence) discovers a problem in Cassie's genetic line, which brings an unforeseen end to a fellow witch hunter poised on the brink of success. Meanwhile, Grandmother Blake finds old Henry dead and attempts reviving him with crystal magic. Written by KGF Vissers/revised by statmanjeff

Calvin Wilson: Ahh! Er!
Jake Armstrong: ...and a personal item that's absorbed some of the witch's energy.
Calvin Wilson: Oh, please... Ih-it's my wedding ring.
Jake Armstrong: Then, as long as the cruet's been spelled, all you have to do next is drop in a match and, ding-dong, the witch is dead - but you ...
