When Katja kisses Frank Moses and they enter the dining room where a string quartet is playing, we hear the sound of a violin, yet the violin player's bow is not touching the strings of his violin at all.
In the restaurant in Paris, Katja asks for two "kir royal". It should be "kirs royaux"; plural in French. Then the waiter holds the glasses. This is not the correct way as he should put them on the table. And the glasses don't have any bubbles but it's supposed to be crémant or champagne; it means a lot of bubbles.
Although Marvin carries a Smith and Wesson Model 460V for most of the movie, there is no explanation as to how he obtains a Norinco Type 56-1 between escaping the embassy and attempting to shoot down a British helicopter.
Dr. Bailey departs in Han's Challenger: a mid-size, twin engine business aircraft. However when the scene changes to inside the cockpit, the glare shield, avionics panel, throttle quadrant, and overhead panel are that of a Boeing 747-400: a heavy, four engine transport category aircraft. The two aircraft couldn't be more different.
Sarah's boots change from scene to scene from flat boots to wedge boots to stiletto boots to low heel boots and back. They change between scenes where there was no point for her to stop and change footwear.
Just after the Lotus comes out from under the truck and Victoria shoots the Range Rover, the tailgate flies open. In the next shot, when the vehicle spins through the air, the tailgate is quite obviously closed.
When Han is shown to be in flight, the aircraft depicted is a Bombardier Lear. Upon landing, Han is shown deplaning a Bombardier Challenger; this aircraft is used in every scene thereafter. While the aerodynamic planform is similar, the two aircraft are wholly different.
(at around 53 mins) Just before Victoria walks on the road in England, Frank looks in the rear-view mirror at Sarah, and his face has a five o'clock shadow. When he asks, "How could she have possibly found us?" and looks at Marvin, he is clean-shaven. This continues for the remainder of the scene.
During the sequence where Han and Victoria are spinning in the car, Victoria shoots at cars in both directions. The camera from inside the enemies car shows Han and Victoria are stationary in the car but in the next scene they're not.
When in Papa Johns, Marvin is shown (from inside the restroom) using a sledge hammer and wearing a baseball style cap but, when the view changes from inside the wall to looking into the bathroom, Marvin can be seen wearing safety goggles and no hat.
Jack Horton enters the building alone. Then he has two companions. As he goes further into the building, his companions grow in number. We see 2 in the interview room, whom Frank takes out, then there are six in the corridor.
In the Iranian embassy, Sarah shoots a man. Her arms, hands and the gun are high and level with her face. The camera view from behind her shows her arms lowered at her sides. Then, when viewed from the front again, her arms, hands and the gun are level with her face again.
During the motorway chase, sparks are seen as bullets hit the Lotus Exige. Bullet impacts rarely ever cause visible sparks but, with the Exige, whose body is made of fiberglass as with most Lotus cars, it is completely impossible.
When Sarah puts the 2CV in reverse gear after crashing, she pulls the gear lever to away from the dashboard. The 2CV gearbox has reverse gear in a position where most gearboxes have 1st gear. She would, therefore, need to push the gear lever forward to select reverse.
When Han opens fire with the mini-gun and it cuts to the empty cases falling on the floor, they are blank round cases, not from live rounds. The cases are .30-06 blank rounds while the Minigun is chambered for the 7.62x51 NATO round (.308 Winchester).
When the agents take Frank into custody early in the film, the lead agent tells him they want to take him to a "Yankee White" facility for debriefing. The term "Yankee White" is the term for individuals who have clearance to work with or in close proximity to either the President or Vice President and/or a facility where either of them are currently present on site. Given Frank's "Retired Extremely Dangerous" designation, they would never risk taking him to a place like that.
During Marvin's 'funeral' there is a Marine Staff Sergeant in attendance. As the mourners are leaving the service, the Staff Sergeant is standing outside the church wearing a US Navy Field Grade Officer's Cover (cap). US enlisted ranks do not have 'scrambled eggs' on the bill.
When Frank, Marvin, Victoria, and Sarah are on a boat on the River Thames, the tour guide announces that the Tower of London is visible off the right side of the boat. However, the boat is traveling eastward (downstream) along the river, so the tower of London (located on the north bank of the Thames) would be visible off the port (left) side of the boat.
When Victoria is shooting out of both windows in the car with Han, her right gun is directly in front of Han's face a few scant inches away. That close, the gun blast would have virtually deafened him.
About 16 minutes in, Sarah accidentally shoots the gun Marvin gave her. She then says No external safety on the Sig? Sig Sauer handguns do have external safeties. The handgun she has looks like a 1911. Those do have external safeties.
In the chase involving the black Porsche GTS, the rear spoiler is down most of the time, but in several of the scenes, it's up. This is the normal behavior for GTS. The front and rear spoiler for the car extend and retract automatically depending on the speed and attitude of the vehicle. It would be abnormal if they did not change positions.
In the beginning of the movie, Jack counts seven including himself. One goes in and Frank kills him. Then four go in and Frank blows them up. Four more go in and Frank kills one. Then you see four guys walk pass between the file shelves. There are already three too many. Then there is one more making it four too many. Frank kills four more guys and Marvin kills the black guy. Ten men are killed by Frank and one killed by Marvin leaving Jack alive. So, after a count of seven, the final tally is twelve.
Engine and transmission are missing from the Jeep when it blows up in the Costco parking lot at the beginning of the movie. The explosion flips the Jeep over and there is a 55 gallon drum where they should be.
The goof item below may give away important plot points.
There are a number of things wrong with the scene in which Katya is killed. First, Jack tells an agent to "pick up the guns", meaning the main characters couldn't have had them for the rest of the movie. Next, there would be no way that Marvin, Sarah, or Frank could have killed Katya because, in addition to the lack of guns in the room, they are on the opposite end of the room from where she was shot from. Another oddity is how the Russians are able to find the hotel room so quickly even after the Americans leave.
