A poor young girl has a burning desire to find comfort and happiness in her life. Desperate to keep warm, the girl lights the matches she sells, and envisions a very different life for herself in the fiery flames.
"Tick Tock Tale" is a charming little CGI short from Disney. While its story is very slight and simple, it's handled in a beautiful fashion. It begins in a clock shop in London. As soon as the owner goes home, the clocks all become anamorphic and one of them, a silly little clock that always runs a bit slow, is made fun of by the other clocks. But, when a wicked burglar arrives and begins stealing clocks, the little insignificant clock does all he can to save the day.
As I said, it's slight--mostly because the plot is so simple. I think you could write the script in a paragraph or so...it's that simple. But it's deftly made and charming and well worth seeing.
