Guys like Stone Cold Steve Austin and Michael Jordan had popularized it for the masses. The film will chronicle the life of Handler as she founded Mattel in 1945 and created the now-iconic Barbie doll, named after her daughter Barbara, in 1959. Handler was one of the first women to run a Fortune 500 company. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1970 and died in 2002.

“The world should know about the phenomenal woman behind the doll,” said Handler’s daughter Barbara and granddaughter Cheryl Segal. “We have chosen to work with Rita Wilson, Cristan Crocker, Andrea Nevins and Bron Studios to bring Ruth’s story to life. Jared Harris has joined the cast of Sony's Morbius the Living Vampire Marvel Comics adaptation. Elijah Wood movies: 12 greatest films, ranked worst to best, include ‘Lord of the Rings,’ ‘Eternal Sunshine,’ ‘The Ice Storm’
To many, he will always be Frodo Baggins, the brave little furry-footed hobbit who volunteers to bear the burden of carrying the dreaded One Ring as he leaves his bucolic existence behind while sacrificing himself to save Middle-earth in “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy.

But Elijah Wood, who turns 38 on January 28, has had quite a varied career beyond the Shire ever since he made his film debut at 8-years-old with a small part as Video Game Boy #2 in 1989’s “Back to the Future Part II.” He would go on to land the coveted central role in the epic fantasy franchise based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s enduring classic when he was 18. But his early output on the big screen consisted of a string of so-so ‘90s titles such as “Radio Flyer,” “Paradise” and “Forever Young.” However, he often earned praise for his part in even mediocre projects.

Matt Smith in Discussions to Join Jared Leto in Spider-Man Spinoff Movie Morbius

  • DailyDead
Out of all of the superheroes in the Marvel Comics universe, Spider-Man's lineup of villains is perhaps the most eclectic, intriguing, and horrifying. Morbius the Living Vampire is certainly no exception, and with Venom and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse enjoying big box office runs, it's no surprise that Sony is looking to expand their own "Spider-Verse" with a movie based on Morbius, with Jared Leto in the lead role and Matt Smith now potentially joining the film's cast.

Variety reports that Matt Smith (perhaps best known for playing the Eleventh Doctor in Doctor Who) is "in final talks" to play a yet-to-be-revealed "major role" in the Morbius movie.

Last June, multiple sources, including Variety, previously reported that Jared Leto will play the titular character in a Morbius movie directed by Daniel Espinosa. Leto has reportedly been interested in bringing the character to life on screen for a while, but wanted
