Storyline

A newly homeless teenager becomes addicted to his prescription drugs while coming to terms with the murder of his father, a fruit farmer stabbed in a botched robbery years earlier. Living in his car on the banks of the Hudson River, the teen meets and becomes close to his father's old friend, a Vietnam veteran and widower who has lost contact with his only son.
