For Want of Sleep
3 November 2016 | by JordanThomasHallSee all my reviews

Dave (Joby Baker) and Larry (Ronnie Schell) are taking a week's vacation from their morning radio program. Dave and Linda (Julie Parrish) plan to go "somewhere nice and quiet and just rest" while Larry plans a trip to Las Vegas. Their substitute Big Jack Jackson falls off the wagon in celebrating one week of sobriety, and their vacation is canceled by Mr. Hutton (Billy De Wolfe). They're needed to fill in for his other show as well and Hutton promises the boys extra pay and vacation in return. The arrangement leaves Dave with a four-hour commute each day. With painters already working in their apartment during their planned vacation, Dave is forced to nap on the couch where he is berated with interruptions. He decides to take Larry up on his offer to move into with his swinging bachelor pad near the station. Dave's quest for sleep is complicated by his disruptive host. Dave leaves, but soon finds himself in jail! Garry Marshall makes a brief appearance as a man looking for his girlfriend.
