In the last cut-scene, Mater asks Lightning what he did with the stickers Lizzie gave him, to which Lightning says he "put them in safe place" before it shows the stickers in front of his racing headquarters. This is a reference to Cars (2006): The Video Game in which Sally asks Lightning what he did with his Piston Cup, to which Lightning says, "It's in a good place" before it shows the Piston Cup in front of Doc's clinic with Doc's three Piston Cups.
