A teenager's urination into a sewage pond makes it turn purple. Via a rare medical drug this leads to discovering the headless corps in 12 more hacked-up pieces of SciFi cult author Jared Addison (25), who has a 'sexier' impersonator, C. D. Howard, hired by editor Gary Tushman. The Jefferson is working in another gifted intern, Wendell Bray. Ralph, Jared's fellow germ phobia therapy patient with professor Jim Amerian, volunteers a confession based on a crazy compulsion. Meanwhile Booth has back trouble. Sweets proves an excellent third investigation partner and team confident. Hodges visits Zack in psych ward and leaves the case file with him, which inspires more then brilliant insight. Did You Know?

Hodgins' mystery egg hatches and we see, on the monitor, a dipteran fly (related to the housefly, horsefly, bottlefly family). He calls it a whitefly; a whitefly is a hemipteran closely related to aphids and looks more like a lacewing than a dipteran. See more »

Dr. Camille Saroyan: [upon hearing the victim had kelp and coffee grounds in the treads of his shoes] So the giant todler was brewing coffee on the beach before being killed?
Dr. Jack Hodgins: [sarcastically] Yeah, that's it. Case solved!

What a surprise!

This was one fantastic episode that really had some fascinating stuff going on.

I really liked the theme of OCD and the various ways it was played.

I would have never guessed the ending. It was just too perfect.

The surprise return of a former cast member added immensely to the plot and made it even better.

The new intern just couldn't handle the pressure. I could imagine that it would be a bit much for anyone working in that office.

If they are going to have more shows like this one, I will be there religiously.
