Storyline

More and people start hearing a dog howling around school. Joanna's shoplifted earrings cause her grief when her mother insists on returning them to the shop to get them upgraded. Miss Carver unveils her "babies" to an unimpressed Year 8 - bags of flour that they have to treat as babies, and take care of for a week. Mrs. Holmes applies for the job of Head at Grange Hill to everyone's dismay, and seems to have started making changes already - she tells a disgruntled Sixth Form that their common room will become a GCSE study area. After dressing up their flour babies (!) the Double Dare Gang are interrogated by Mr. Robson about their involvement in making a fake job application for him. They are all ready to deny involvement, but Gemma has a deeper understanding of psychology and admits their guilt. She tells him that they did it because they were so concerned at Mrs. Holmes becoming the new Head. Gemma is successful - they are let off with a warning. Adam's secret dog is evidently ill,...
