Storyline

When the police find Rob Miclean dead - seemingly having committed suicide in virtually the exact same way as his father - Pascoe further doubts the suicide theory. The pathologist determines that Rob Miclean had a brain tumor and only a few months to live. Dalziel wonders what an ex-business partner, Bill Walker, may have to do with the case. He and Pal Miclean had built an apartment block, Cherwell Tower that may hold secrets of its own. Written by garykmcd

A very strong conclusion.

I'm not sure why, but I'm reminded of the BBC series Maelstrom, maybe it's the eerie vibe, or the record playing. This is a terrific second episode, it's cleverly crafted, engaging, and features a superb scene between Clarke and Lunghi, she showed us just what a terrific actor he really was.

This is very sad story, but it truly does have a lot of depth. Many layers, but it's the locked room mystery and tragic historic events at Cherwell Tower that are most intriguing.

Clarke steals the show in a great episode. 8/10
