June has a garage in Boston. At an airport heading home, a man bumps into her a few times and tries to keep her off the plane. He's under FBI surveillance; they wonder if he and she are working together, so they let both on a flight full of armed men wanting to arrest the stranger. He's Roy, he shoots his way out of trouble and tells her she's in danger. She's home the next day, miraculously, when agents pick her up; Roy saves her again, and a transcontinental chase ensues with Roy convincing her that he's the good guy, protecting an energy source that a rogue agent wants to sell on the black market. Can she trust Roy, and will trust matter when the bullets start flying?Written by
When we first see Simon in the cab of the locomotive in Austria, he mentions the engine can haul 50,000 metric tons. This equals 55,000 tons in U.S. measurement. A coal train (for example) weighing 55,000 tons would be upwards of 5½ miles long with 20 or more modern locomotives - virtually impossible across even the Australian Outback, let alone the Austrian Alps. An 'Extended Cut' is available in Region 2 (UK and Europe), Region 3 (Asia) and Region 4 (Australia & NZ). It adds eight minutes of footage, mostly extended versions of existing scenes, as well as a new opening scene that better establishes June Haven's profession as a mechanic. The 'Extended Cut' was released on Video On Demand in North America, but as of January 2011, it has yet to receive a Region 1 release. (See the FAQ page for more details.) See more »
We saw the Saturday sneak preview for Knight and Day, cautiously optimistic for a film that has had almost no reviews despite the fact it releases on Wednesday. To avoid spoilers, I'll make this simple:
The Good * Tom Cruise turns in a star performance, and Diaz holds her own. * Story has several twists and turns * Walks a fine line between comedy and action well (for the most part) * I never looked at my watch once and the film running time flew by
The Not So Good * CGI is weak and there is a lot of it * Can get a little campy from time to time * Predictable
Overall this was quite entertaining. If your expecting an Oscar caliber film you will be disappointed. If your looking for some above average summer fun buy your ticket without hesitation!
