Storyline

A 19-year-old college student, Addie, starts coughing up blood during karate class and ends up one of House's cases. Foreman hands in his resignation before treating the woman and refuses to explain why. Although her symptoms show no signs of it, House is convinced that an infection is causing Addie's bleeding. Her lungs start filling with fluid and House's team believes a toxin or cancer is to blame for Addie's illness but are unable to change House's mind. Addie continues to get worse and House wants to do an extremely risky life-or-death treatment in order to confirm his diagnosis; the team starts to ask whether House cares about making a diagnosis more than Addie's own life. Meanwhile, House becomes interested in Honey, a young, attractive nutritionist who brought her boyfriend to the clinic for treatment. He gets her to fill out an employment application (for Foreman's soon-to-be vacated position) and arranges to meet her again in a more casual situation. Written by elizabethbennet135

Trivia

Dr. Wilson says, "'Cause it's either that or accept the fact that you've done something nice. Then I have to deal with the Horsemen, the rain of fire, and the End of Days..." The Four Horsemen (Death, Famine, War, and Conquest) are mentioned in the bible in the Book of Revelation as one of the signs for the Apocalypse, as is the rain of fire. See more »

Goofs

Chase prepares to stick a needle through the patient, Addie's, right eye. This eye is very dark, appearing to be a very dark brown while Addie's left eye is light, appearing gray or light blue. She doesn't have different colored eyes, because in preparation for the procedure they would have administered eyedrops to dilate the pupil to allow access for the needle without risking damage to the iris muscles. House

This episode was good. It was very graphic and at times it was gruesome when they did certain surgery on different patients. The story line was strong and concrete. The story starts off of a young girl taking karate lessons. She was fighting another individual and then something happens dramatically. Does Doctor House have the answers? Does Doctor Foreman, Doctor Cameron,or Doctor Chase have the answer for this patient? Will they be to late to find the cure. This particular episode is a must see. It drags a little bit but overall the story is solid. It was one of the better episodes for season three. A lot of action and suspense. Dr. House is crazy at times but very smart.
