Marvel May Make Captain Marvel Gay And Give Her A Girlfriend

Ever since Carol Danvers made her McU debut earlier this year in Captain Marvel, fans have been wondering whether she’ll end up coming out as an Lgbt superhero. You see, in an unusual move for the McU, Carol wasn’t given a love interest in her origins story, so right now, it’s a bit unclear if she’s gay or not.

And while we’ve yet to hear from Marvel on what they’re going to do with her in regards to this, producer Victoria Alonso has already teased that it’s possible we’ll see Captain Marvel come out in the sequel. During her Reddit Ama, someone brought up the idea and the studio exec noted that “Carol could eventually have a love story with someone of the same sex,” before saying that she thinks “it would be something incredible on the part of the McU.”

Taika Waititi Says Thor: Love And Thunder Will "Double Down on How Nuts Ragnarok Was"

Director Taika Waititi ended up delivering a very different kind of Marvel movie with Thor: Ragnarok. The fans weren’t expecting how crazy that movie ended up being, but for the most part, they loved it! It was loaded with great action, hilarious comedy, and wonderfully weird characters.

Well, the filmmaker plans on taking Thor: Love and Thunder to a whole new level of craziness. During a recent interview with Wired, Waititi teased:

"It's going to be bigger and louder and more bombastic. It's only interesting to me if we're doubling down on how nuts Ragnarok was."

Well, that sounds exciting! A Thor movie that is going to double down on how nuts Ragnarok was!? Sign me up! I can’t wait to see what the director and his creative team are planning for this!

Chris Hemsworth will return as Thor, Tessa Thompson will play Valkyrie again, and Natalie Portman

Taika Waititi Confirms Korg Will Appear in Thor: Love and Thunder

  • Popsugar
Taika Waititi is slowly but surely piecing the major parts of Thor: Love and Thunder together, from Natalie Portman's unexpected (but incredibly exciting!) role as The Mighty Thor to explicitly making Valkyrie the first Lgbtq+ superhero. And now, thanks to the JoJo Rabbit director's recent chat with Jimmy Kimmel, we know another highly important piece of information about the next Thor film: Korg is coming back, baby!

In Thor: Ragnarok, which he also directed, Waititi voiced the hulking rock-like Kronan, who meets Thor on Sakaar within the ranks of the Grandmaster's gladiators. He's exceptionally odd for a character in the McU but also one of the franchise's most hilarious. We last saw Korg in Avengers: Endgame, where he was fully wallowing with Thor (and sidekick Miek) as they played Fortnite against the evil NoobMaster69.

"My character is coming back, Korg," the director confirmed toward the end of his conversation with the late-night host.

Tessa Thompson And Brie Larson’s Lesbian Comments Go Viral

During a recent panel at Ace Comic Con, Tessa Thompson and Brie Larson were asked when we might see some lesbian characters in the McU, and while the Valkyrie and Captain Marvel actresses were careful to give nothing away, their response has still managed to send ripples across social media.

Initially, Thompson deflected from the question by remarking on how excited she is to see Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster wielding the hammer in the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder. As the panel drew to a close, Larson was then asked if she had any final thoughts, to which she replied:

“How do I top lesbians?”

It was at this point that Thompson jumped in with an answer that left the crowd screaming:

“I’m sure the lesbians could show you right after this panel.”

You can catch the exchange in the Twitter video below, which has already managed to

Mark Ruffalo Thought Ragnarok Would Ruin Thor And The Hulk

Thor: Ragnarok was a breath of fresh air for both the title character and the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a whole. The studio’s output was always heavily laced with laughs, but in the hands of director Taika Waititi, Thor’s third solo outing became the closest thing the McU has ever made to an all-out comedy.

Fans lapped it up, with the buddy movie dynamic between Thor and Bruce Banner carrying the pic, along with the introduction of several scene-stealing supporting characters including Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie, Waititi’s Korg and Jeff Goldblum’s Grandmaster. Even Idris Elba, who had been vocally critical of his time working for Marvel in the past, praised the experience he had on Ragnarok.

Brie Larson And Tessa Thompson Explain How An All-Female McU Movie Could Happen

Captain Marvel actress Brie Larson has repeatedly gone on record pushing for an all-female McU team-up movie, and during a recent panel at Ace Comic Con, the Oscar-winner offered a suggestion for how the fans can help make it happen.

Larson was joined at yesterday’s event by Tessa Thompson, who’s also been vocal in calling for Marvel to assemble an A-Force-style female team. Sure enough, the Valkyrie actress showed her support for the idea once more at the Ace panel, saying the following:

“I know what I want. No, listen, this is not just because Valkyrie would like to hang out with some of the beautiful, strong, intelligent, fantastic women of the McU. She would, platonically in a team-building way. So, I want to work together as a team, us women, doing things in a film or two.”

Larson then indicated that fans hoping for an A-Force movie

Will Christopher Eccleston's Malekith Ever Return in a Future Marvel Movie?

  • MovieWeb
There is always debate when ranking Marvel films, but most agree on one thing: Thor: The Dark World is near the bottom. The actor behind the film's villain Malekith, Christopher Eccleston, has never been shy to voice his agreement. It seems he's continued to be a fan of the franchise, however, and had great things to say about the new creative team behind Thor: Love and Thunder.

When asked about his experience on Thor: The Dark World at New York Comic Con, Eccleston reiterated his earlier statements about having to be "in make-up for six, seven hours every day," which was something they did not tell him would be required up front. In fact, the Doctor Who actor is unrecognizable in his Malekith get-up, so Marvel really missed their opportunity to show off their prolific star. Something we'd love to see them remedy somewhere in their extensive slate. He had

Taika Waititi Reveals Who The Real Star Of Thor: Love And Thunder Is

Thor: Love and Thunder will make a big change to the franchise as Natalie Portman is due to return as Jane Foster, but this time Thor’s ex will be Thor herself. As announced at Comic-Con by having the actress walk on stage wielding a replica Mjolnir, Jane will be worthy of holding the hammer in the 2021 movie and become a Goddess of Thunder.

This is easily the most-discussed element of the film, then, but do Jane’s new powers mean that this is Portman’s movie? Definitely not, according to writer/director Taika Waititi. When speaking to MTV News, the Thor: Ragnarok helmsman was asked to clarify who Lat‘‘s main star is and Waititi left no doubt that it’s Chris Hemsworth.

“It’s Chris [Hemsworth]. It’s a Thor film. He is Thor, it’s a Thor film. She’s in it.”

Watch: Natalie Portman Becomes Thor In Love And Thunder Fan Trailer

Chris Hemsworth’s Asgardian Avenger is due to return for his fourth solo movie outing in 2021’s Thor: Love and Thunder. Except, maybe “solo” isn’t the right word to use here as he won’t be the only worthy one in the film. As revealed to the astonishment of Marvel fans everywhere at July’s Comic-Con, Natalie Portman will be returning to the McU in Lat as Jane Foster. And this time, she’ll be the one with Mjolnir in her hand.

We’re still a ways off from getting a trailer for Love and Thunder, but this fan-made effort hypes us up even more for one of the most exciting movies coming in Phase 4. Created for We Got This Covered by YouTube’s Billy Crammer, the video splices together footage from the first two Thor movies, with a little bit of Supergirl for good measure, to give us

The Eternals Star Says Marvel’s First Lgbt Hero Is Hugely Important

For any other franchise, or any other studio for that matter, The Eternals would be a massive gamble. A mega-budget sci-fi based on an obscure comic book that most general audiences have never heard of, from a director whose only two previous features were critically-acclaimed independent dramas that earned a little over $3.5 million at the box office combined, it seems like the kind of ambitious blockbuster that only Marvel Studios could pull off.

With its position as the most successful and lucrative series in the history of cinema, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is in a rare position to take risks that most other studios wouldn’t dare attempt, and The Eternals is no different. Chloe Zao’s currently-shooting twenty-fifth installment follows a group of immortal aliens waging an intergalactic war against their evolutionary counterparts, and in an effort to sell that kind of cosmic madness, the movie has assembled the

Valkyrie Will Get Her Own Disney Plus Show After Thor: Love And Thunder

Thor: Ragnarok introduced a bunch of fan favorite characters, arguably none more so than Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie. The Asgardian warrior finally made her second appearance in the McU earlier this year in Avengers: Endgame, in which the God of Thunder named her king of New Asgard. She’ll next turn up in 2021’s Thor: Love and Thunder, but we’ve heard that Marvel has big plans for her following the fourth Thor movie.

We Got This Covered has been informed that Valkyrie will get her own Disney Plus TV series after Love and Thunder. This intel comes to us via the same source who previously told us that Marvel was working on shows for both Ms. Marvel and She-Hulk before they were officially announced by the studio this past weekend, so we have no reason to doubt it.

Ragnarok established that Valkyrie was one of Asgard’s elite squad

The McU’s First Gay Superhero Will Be Married With A Family

Something we’ve known for a while about The Eternals is that it’ll introduce the McU’s first ever openly gay hero. We’re not sure which of the movie’s starry ensemble will take that role, but Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has now shared some fresh details about the mystery character, saying the following:

The Eternals will feature Marvel’s first openly gay character. He’s married and has a family and it’s part of who he is.”

The full ensemble for The Eternals was revealed at D23 yesterday and we now know that Angelina Jolie is Thena, Richard Madden is Ikaris, Salma Hayek will play Ajak, Kumail Nanjiani’s Kingo, Lauren Ridloff will play Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry’s Phastos, Lia McHugh is Sprite, Don Lee’s Gilgamesh, Gemma Chan’s Sersi and Barry Keoghan is Druig. The cast gathered in front of some concept

Disney D23: Marvel Studios Reaches A Crossroads In Anaheim

  • Deadline
It might be melodramatic to suggest that Marvel Studios has something to prove this weekend at Disney’s D23 Expo in Anaheim, but there’s no denying that Hollywood’s most bankable brand has reached a crossroads as it moves forward without some of its signature stars and characters.

This week, Deadline scored the biggest industry scoop of the year with the exclusive news that the Spider-Man character is been deported from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and returned to his native Sony. A money squabble between studios nixed the wall-crawler’s cinematic dual citizenship. Popular young actor Tom Holland leaves the McU with the character and both losses are bitter disappointments for Feige.

Feige loses more than a world-class movie property with the Sony repossession of Spider-Man, he loses a personal sentimental favorite. Feige’s admiration, appreciation, and affection for the late Stan Lee has always been genuine one and

The Hulk Might Be Getting His Own Disney Plus Series

Disney Plus is being designed as a Netflix-killer, with the House of Mouse sparing no expense in bringing the McU to the platform. At San Diego Comic-Con, we got a little more information on The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, WandaVision, Loki and Hawkeye, but it seems that the line-up is set to expand dramatically.

We already knew from Kevin Feige’s comments that they have the McU’s Phase 5 mapped out, and that it’ll bring us even more Disney Plus shows. Furthermore, one of them is due to be unveiled soon. Possibly at D23 this coming weekend.

At least, that’s according to McU Cosmic, who say that another big McU series is set premiere on the platform, but at this point, they’re unsure of what it could be. One guess, however, is that it’s a series for Ms. Marvel, a Pakistani-American teenager from Jersey City who idolizes Carol Danvers.

A Third Villain May’ve Been Revealed For Thor: Love And Thunder

Thor: Love and Thunder is set to not only bring back Chris Hemsworth’s Son of Odin and Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie, but also Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, who’ll get a major upgrade in the movie, as Thor’s ex will become Thor herself. So, with three Asgardian avengers out to protect the galaxy, it makes sense that a trio of fearsome foes will be waiting for them in Taika Waititi’s follow-up to Thor: Ragnarok as well.

Even before Love and Thunder had officially been announced, We Got This Covered brought you the news that Enchantress would serve as the main villain of Thor 4. We were then informed that Gorr the God Butcher will also feature in the movie as a secondary antagonist. Now, our latest intel points to yet another villain putting in an appearance, in addition to the two we’ve previously reported on.
