Storyline

Thalia's plan to agree to a date with Dobie to attend the school's picnic so that she can charge her friends 10-cents a ride to the event in Dobie's father's car (resulting in $4.20 in revenue) hits a snag when Dobie not only can't get his father's car for the day, but finds that he can't even go to the picnic as he has to mind the store while his parents go to a weekend long reunion with Winnie's family. Without telling Dobie before it happens, Thalia comes up with a more lucrative Plan B: she orders $46 worth of sandwich supplies through the store on Herbert's account, so that they can make and sell 400 sandwiches to the picnickers at 25-cents apiece, resulting in a $54 profit. Dobie, with Maynard at his side, can't do anything but go along with Thalia's plan. But that plan has many more obstacles to financial success, the biggest being Mother Nature. Meanwhile, Herbert can't help but worry what mischief Dobie is getting into back at the store, that is when Herbert isn't dealing ... Written by Huggo
