Oh, those wacky times before cell phones! How did we survive this??
26 March 2018 | by MartinHaferSee all my reviews

Dr. Kingsfield takes a day off and just disappears--leaving the students, Mrs. Nottingham and a rich patron in a lurch. After all, it's the first time in 40 years he simply missed a class...and it causes a lot of commotion. But is there more to Kingsfield's day out than just a need to take a break or is there some deeper meaning behind it? With so much ambiguity, folks seem to assume all sorts of crazy things...which show show incredibly reliable the man is. Nowadays, such an episode wouldn't exist...they would simply call Kingsfield on his cell phone! But this was the dark ages...of 1985!

Overall, this is a very interesting and enjoyable episode....nothing brilliant but a nice change of pace.
