Sex & Nudity

  • A stripper dances sexually in front of a man, she removes her bra and reveals her breasts. A porn film is playing on a TV during all of this, breasts and thrusting are seen on the TV, we also hear moaning. He fondles her genitals. She then unbuckles his pants, implying that she is going to give him a blowjob, but then the man starts to cry.
  • There are some sexual references in the movie, ranging from mild to incredibly explicit.
  • The main theme of the movie is how people get AIDS which is a sexually transmitted disease.
  • The movie opens with a man having sex with two women in a bull pen, we see hard thrusting, and we hear lots of moaning.
  • A man has a flashback of having anal sex with a woman, thrusting is seen but no nudity other than the man's back.
  • A man has a three-way with two women -- breasts are seen for a glimpse, a butt may be seen but only the man and one woman are having sex and the second woman is seen standing near them.
  • Two women simulate a sex act in front of two men. Breasts and butt's seen.
  • A man masturbates (nothing shown but him breathing), looking at pictures of scantly clad women. And is disrupted by a picture of a man (this is not graphic and played only for laughs).
  • A man with AIDS has sex with a woman, who also has AIDS, loudly with several people hearing it in the next room. They kiss afterwards. Brief and no nudity.
  • Some breasts are seen in a strip club, and women are wearing g string thongs...keep in mind that this is supposed to be the early 80's. Nothing too graphic seen apart from breasts.
  • A man's butt is briefly seen sticking out of the back of his hospital gown after waking up from a comatose state. In other scenes, he is wearing underwear under the gown.
  • A transgender woman is a prostitute.

Violence & Gore

  • A character coughs up blood.
  • A man scuffles with another man and is hit in the mouth, causing his mouth to become bloody.
  • A man's leg is caught up underneath a industrial device, a graphic shot of his bloody leg is seen.

Profanity

  • Very frequent use of strong language. 104 uses of "fuck", including a dozen or so uses of "motherfucker". About 40 uses of "shit". 30 or so uses of "faggot", 10 uses of "pussy", 3 uses of "cocksucker". 1 use of an extremely derogatory references towards Saudi Arabians ("sand niggers").

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A doctor goes over all the drugs the main character has done in his life, he mentions cocaine, methamphetamine, LSD, and other hard drugs that have killed his immune system.
  • During a flashback we see needle marks on a man's arm implying that he got AIDS from sharing a heroin needle
  • Many people snort cocaine.
  • A main theme of the movie is drug dealing, although not for recreational use.
  • A man is a heavy drinker and smokes in nearly every scene he's in.
  • People are shown to be doing heroin.
  • A use of amyl nitrite is shown.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • This movie is very heavy and has a lot to do with depressing matters such as, drug addiction, STD's, and death. A transgender woman dies from AIDS and drug addiction, this can be very heartbreaking and emotional.

  • A man carries a gun in several scenes. It is implied he wants to commit suicide with it at one point but he cries and drives off.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A woman is a drug addict, and is shown to have died from them weakening her immune system in addition to her AIDS.
