A little too close
2 December 2016 | by bkoganbingSee all my reviews

Eddie Albert and Jane Greer star in this Zane Grey Theater story about the rancher's daughter, the hired hand who loves her, and the father who holds her a bit too close. Onslow Stevens plays the father and it's almost like The Barretts Of Wimpole Street.

Jane gets tired of all this and marries and runs away with Albert. But he confesses he has a bounty on him for murder and a bounty hunter informs Stevens at the same time.

The story was building quite nicely and the climax was looking good. And then for whatever reason a cop out ending was clearly tacked on to this story. Spoils what could have been a classic.

Not one of the better episodes.
