Quotes

[talking to Von Braun's scientists about living in the US]
Jeffrey Jones: I've traveled. Boy, have I traveled. Look, it's not the only place to live, but it stands for what you're looking for. It means being able to do what you want, being able to go where you want.
[looks at Phineas]
Phineas Bogg: Go on. You're doing fine.
Jeffrey Jones: And if you want to build rockets to go into space, well nobody but nobody can beat us. Why do you think we're winning this war?
[to Phineas]
Jeffrey Jones: Think I overdid it?
Phineas Bogg: [beams proudly] You've got my vote Senator.

Birthday present

In this episode it's Jeffrey Jones's birthday and he wants to see Armstrong and Aldrin in the moon launch. But when they get to Cape Canaveral they find no big base for space. The Omni is flashing a crimson red and it's because we did not get Werner Von Braun out of Germany in the last days of World War II and the Russians are in one big lead in the space race.

This is a Voyager episode where we only have one story, no shuttling back between two wrong historical moments. They find the scientists but Von Braun has a traitor in his party of scientists.

Do I have to say that history is righted? It's in the how as Von Braun's expertise in rocketry come in handy.
