While the story has plenty of problems, it's worth your time.

"Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" was a fantasy series that often introduced amazingly silly things--such as an octopus LARGER than the Seaview submarine, aliens and even monsters. So, you have to cut this one some slack...it isn't intended as deep entertainment! So, while "The Buccaneer" has a few plot holes, just ignore them and enjoy.

The show begins with a megalomaniacal genius, Logan, and his men stealing the Seaview. No matter that it's the most high tech ship on the sea...she's amazingly simple to commandeer. Logan's men keep the crew prisoner while the guy enacts his plan to steal the Mona Lisa!!

The actual Mona Lisa painting is very, very small. So seeing Logan with a HUGE Mona Lisa did make me laugh a bit. The copy they use must be 5-10 times the actual size of the picture. But no matter. Overall, it's a modestly enjoyable episode...filled with action and silliness.
