Did You Know?
Throughout the series, the real name of the main character is never revealed. Great pains were taken in the writing to avoid anyone (including the character) calling him by name. This includes him introducing himself as "the foreman at Shiloh" or having others call him things like "ramrod" or other job titles. This episode is rare in that when he takes a job, he uses an actual name- Ed Morgan. It is believed this was not his real name, which also was never mentioned in the book. See more
