Intriguing entry starts off with an unbilled John Newland (previously in "The Return of Andrew Bentley") playing an obnoxious artist who gets murdered with an arrow through the head. Six months later, the murder still unsolved, strange apparitions appear on a blank canvas, depicting the scene of the crime in the exact same style as the corpse. Is there something supernatural going on or what? As the investigating sheriff, George Mitchell had previously appeared in "The Big Blackout." Jane Greer began her Hollywood career under the auspices of Howard Hughes, to her later regret. Other familiar faces in the cast include Robert Webber, Gage Clarke and John Banner (HOGAN'S HEROES). Actor Jason Wingreen was a TV veteran from 1955 who also dabbled in scripting, as his credit here attests, the first of five TV episodes he wrote (for 5 different programs).
