Did You Know?

Unlike most episodes, SG-1 has already been on the planet, namely Edora, for several months when the episode starts and the team knows the inhabitants well and vice versa. See more »

Carter shows a detailed sky map of the planet's solar system, including its asteroid belt.

This would only be possible with a number of large telescopes and years of astronomic viewings. Or if there were satellites in orbit from which they could obtain photos and radio images.

As the episode relates, the SG team had only been on the planet for a week at most. There couldn't have been such a map, especially one which also showed an asteroid debris field. See more »

Jack O'Neill: Laira, when's the big show start?
Laira: Soon. Be patient.
Jack O'Neill: Oh, I'm patient. I'm nothing if not patient. When's it start?
Laira: Is he always like this?
Teal'c: Quite frequently.

One of the best
20 February 2010 | by rsweeney1-1See all my reviews

This SG1 is one of the series' best although many fans disagree due to O'Neil's straying from love for Carter to another woman. From the opening to the end, this SG1 delivers on character, on story, on directorial excellence, on shear beauty and not mention very nice special effects and superior use of location.

And did I mention the music. Memorable and extremely well done to set the mood.

An O'Neill tour-de-force by Richard Dean Anderson with strong work by Tapping, Judge and Davis. The off-world love interest by Michelle Greene is probably her best career effort - believable, sensitive and beautifully played. Supporting guest cast are excellent.
