Popular 1955 Creature Feature Torn To Shreds By Comedians
8 December 2016 | by StuOzSee all my reviews

The sequel to the classic Creature From The Black Lagoon is here. The movie, Revenge Of The Creature (1955), is about the creature being held captive in an amusement park in Florida.

At first I was a bit surprised that Revenge Of The Creature was going to be ridiculed on Mystery Theatre as I never viewed it as a bad movie and I could not see what the jokes would be based on.

However, to my surprise, there is a lot to laugh about when three comedians watch Revenge Of The Creature!

Jokes include comments about "handsome" men, an early Clint Eastwood gig, 1950s male swimming costumes, old men acting in "talkies", lesbians, a woman's fondness for a dog, misplaced music cues, "racist" treatment of the creature, confusing end credits, etc.

This is the only way to see this movie, don't even think about seeing it without the Mystery Theatre jokes!
