McMahon, president of Gotham City Trust and Savings, on behalf of the anonymous John Beresford Tipton. Banker McMahon would distribute about a half dozen such checks during the first season, then disappear for the remainder of the series. Tipton's executive secretary, Michael Anthony (actor Marvin Miller) would dispense the gift checks on all other occasions for the run of the series. See more
