Many views of the San Ysidro-Tijuana border crossing are either actual location shots or stock footage. One wide shot clearly shows the historic Monumento a la Raza, destroyed in the 1970s. (Indeed, virtually all of the border crossing areas are completely different now than they were in 1958.) Scenes on the streets of Tijuana were shot on studio sets. Among the cars seen on the streets as Lucy and Ethel are shopping are 1958 model Buicks and Chryslers. See more
