Trivia

The hotel used on Burgh Island is a working hotel which adheres almost completely to the Art Deco style of decor; all furniture, fixtures and fittings are genuine late 1920s/early 1930s and many guests dress up in the clothes of the era when staying there. The island is tidal and gets cut off from the mainland twice a day. See more »

Quotes

Lovejoy: Listen, some people... chaps, like to keep things private... like Tink. I respected him for that.
Charlotte Cavendish: Fine, OK, fine. Forget it.
[She self-consciously clears her throat]
Lovejoy: Are you blaming me for something, Charlotte?
Charlotte Cavendish: Sometimes, people... chaps... need to share things, but they need a signal... otherwise they bottle it up... and that can be sad. That's all I'm saying.
[Both are silent]
