Following Reverend Alden's lead, the Walnut Grove townsfolk try to turn the other cheek when the bad behavior of the recently arrived Galender brothers causes tempers to flare, until a series of incidents begins to reveal the trio's more sinister nature.

Immediately after Lars Hanson learns the Galendars sold to Henderson the lumber Hanson had sold to them, there's a short scene of him going back to the mill to tell Edwards about it. This scene was cut from syndicated prints, as well as the original Region 1 DVD release.
