Storyline

Bat Masterson returns to Dodge City with friends of him and Earp who are old time buffalo hunters. They have heard thousands or more buffalo have returned to Kansas. Earp doesn't believe it and refuses to join the group who he tries to dissuade from continuing the hunt. After they leave, Earp receives a message from the railroad that Apaches have left their reservation to hunt buffalo. Earp has Shotgun bring in Mr. cousin to help Earp track down Bat's group to warn them about the Apache. The Apache led by the renegade Horace Collins kills a small squad of soldiers. They spot Bat's group and decide to wipe them out. Earp and Mr. Cousin using a shortcut get ahead of Bat's group who meets up with them at an abandoned ranch. A gunfight ensues between the hunting group and the Apaches who face some disagreement among themselves. It is a no win situation for both sides. Earp and Bat try talking but find themselves prisoners and everyone soon learns the source of the rumor about the buffalo. Written by Anonymous
