Holmfirth goes to the movies. A film crew turn up to make a Napoleonic epic.

Our trio get roped in as extras. Compo is dressed up a soldier and he thinks he will have to ride a horse.

Pearl has a beeper device to track Howard. He has a part in the film with Marina. They are costume animals who cannot keep their hands off one another.

Billy Ingleton is wandering about dressed up as a monster. The movie that is being made is called Circus of Horrors.

This Christmas Special from 1996 had Hollywood Oscar winner George Chakiris as the director. He even sings a bit but I wished he got to do more dancing. After all he was in West Side Story.

Compo also gets to do a musical number and according to the credits, he wrote the songs. This was more memorable than other Christmas specials made in the 1990s mainly because of the casting of Chakiris.
