Storyline

Paralee and the rangers are sent to handle security for a land rush in Texas. They are undermanned to handle the problems which include Sooners who are staking claims early in order to beat the others. This includes a group of ex-criminals who are after prime river land. The rangers meet the elderly Major Donaldson with his beautiful daughter and grandson from England who are also after the same river land. Due to a lack of men Parmalee asks Commissioner Smoot to delay the run to catch Sooners returning before the rush begins. When Smoot declines, Joe and Reese scheme to break Smoot's glasses and change his watch. It allows them to catch some Sooners but the criminal gang after the river land prove to still be a problem. Suspecting them of cheating Parmalee has Joe take down their claims but the men fight back. Meanwhile Chad with a bit of help from Joe and Reese decides to help the Major who has collapsed before he can register his claim. Written by Anonymous

The appearance of impartiality
1 December 2016 | by bkoganbingSee all my reviews

The sight of the elderly, but elegant Alan Napier in the full dress uniform of a Bengal Lancer racing for a claim in the Oklahoma Land Rush is reason enough to watch this Laredo story. Under their leader Philip Carey our three Rover Boy Rangers are in charge of keeping order at the land rush and watching out for cheaters.

Not easy when you consider there are people come down to us in history as 'Sooners' looking to jump the gun and steal the best tracts of land. Commissioner Fred Clark and Philip Carey have their hands full.

The Rangers are so sympathetic to Napier, daughter, Audrey Dalton, and little grandson Keith Jones. But they could lose their jobs without the appearance of impartiality.

What do they do? Let's say the good people pull it out in this fine and funny Laredo episode.
