Brian travels out to California to pick up Stewie, who's been staying with relatives. Before they can return home, however, their plane tickets and money gets stolen, leaving them stranded. Convincing Lois that they'll be traveling by train, Brian manages to stall for some time, but they still must find a way to make the long journey to Rhode Island. On the way, Brian stops at the puppy mill where he was born to try and make amends with his mother.
