Cheyenne is asked to help return Mickey, now a man, who was abducted as a child by the Apaches. When he and his unexpected captive Mexican wife return to his native whites, they must learn their ways -- not all of them good.
with Cheyenne riding shotgun for the stage line the Apaches try to attack it using a man in white clothes laying on the ground as a trap. Cheyenne tells the driver to ride past - fast. When the decoy jumps up, Cheyenne notices he is a white man as he shoots his rifle out of his hands. As he and the driver make their report to the marshal, an arrow is fired into the office with a message for Cheyenne. The Apache Chief Chotah wants to meet. He wants to surrender his people to move to a reservation. He also wants Cheyenne to help his adopted white son who was captured ten or so years ago who will not be allowed to go to the reservation. Cheyenne agrees but is surprised at the hand-off when the son Mickey Free shows up with a wife who is a Mexican captive. By treaty any Mexicans captured south of the border must be returned to Mexico but Cheyenne and Rev. Joshua Collins who agreed to take Mickey overlook the issue. The reason this show didn't last was because cheyenne was weak and effeminate ...they only made him bare his chest as eye candy for women ...he was used like a bad penny and never held a steady job .. merely roaming all over the west looking for work or trouble ... warner brothers didn't have a clue
