Rubbing what turns out Aladdin's lamp, Phoebe becomes the mistress of e genie name Jinny, who convinces her she needs a good-hearted master to prevent the demon Bosk from resurrecting an mounting the throne of a last magical desert city in Arabia, to install a dark rule. Chris tries desperate to use her genie powers to reunite his broken-up parents Lao end Piper before it's to late for him to be conceived, but no luck and Jinny tricks Phoebe into wishing her liberation, which automatically forces Phoebe to become the lamp's next genie, while the liberated demo is no better then Bosk, just his rival, also counting o the 40 robbers as henchmen.
Did You Know?
The bottle in which the genie lives in is a nearly identical replica of the bottle that the genie, Jeannie, lived in on the classic television show, "I Dream Of Jeannie" (1965). The title of the episode is, of course, a play on the classic show's title, and, in it, Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) also dons a nearly identical costume to the one Jeannie wore on the 1965 show. See more
Phoebe asks Chris if she has ever hit on him, to which he replies no. She actually does flirt with Chris in the second half of the season 5 episode "Oh My Goddess!". Phoebe was, however, under a spell that turned her into the goddess of love. See more
