Marius is brought in and diagnosed with Crohn's disease. Max is worried that he doesn't have medical insurance and Eve admits she married him so he could have treatment; he was tortured after being arrested at a civil rights protest. Max visits a recovering Frank and they reconcile. A boy, Kieran, has been shot as a result of drug wars on a council estate and is taken to hospital. Residents association leader Simon stirs up a mob to confront local dealer Johnstone, giving him a minor beating before he is arrested. He turns out to be a haemophiliac and Josh and Penny are called but the mob is outside the police station and they can't leave. Charlie sends Sean and Chloe to help out.
